Hi everyone, I recently bought 1 kg of silver at ₹90.50 per gram, which should total ₹90,500. However, the final bill I paid is ₹1,02,537, and I’m struggling to understand how the additional charges are calculated.
Here’s what I know:
The silver cost itself is ₹90,500 (₹90.50 × 1000 grams).
There’s a "Value Addition" charge of ₹25 per 250 grams, which adds ₹100 to the bill.
GST at 3% is applied to the subtotal (₹90,600), amounting to ₹2,718.
This brings the total to ₹93,318, but the bill is ₹1,02,537. The remaining ₹9,219 is unclear. Could this be making charges, wastage, or some other fees?
If anyone is familiar with such bills or the silver purchasing process, could you help me break this down? I want to ensure I understand what I’m being charged for. Thanks in advance!
