Flatmates kalesh

Hi guys, here’s me venting out my anger and frustration through this post and looking for genuine advice.

So, I live with 2 other flatmates in gurgaon, and they are both friends. (One of them is leaving this weekend)

They usually sit at the dining table in the hall and talk for hours on end, which I don’t mind. I’ve heard them talking about me on multiple occasions and commenting on my food choices. I would consider myself fit with a good bmi, while I really can’t say the same about them, just for context.

One of them has a REAL problem with the food my cook makes, (I have a separate cook for myself) she says it looks too oily, spicy and what not. (I’m ok with the food and have no issues) Earlier, I have heard her say ‘usse piles hojayega’ which I chose to ignore and moved on. Also, she assumes I’m from kolkata for some reason, however, I’m actually from Delhi but she does not know it (that’s how delulu she is). And today, she said ‘vo kolkata se hai, vo log toh ganda khaana hi khate hai’ - and ever since I’ve heard this I’m brimming with anger and disgust for her and this comment.

I’m an introvert and do not engage in any conversation with them whatsoever except for the basic conversations about the flat and other supplies. I’m also a really private person and absolutely HATE nosey people, which she definitely is and hasn’t been able to extract any information from me about my life or job etc, except for the details I shared while moving in.

There’s a new flatmate coming this weekend, who’s my age so I have hope that things would change but I’m really frustrated right now. Should I point this out and discuss this particular comment with her because what the fuck even is ‘ganda khaana’, she’s from Odisha and obviously there’s a difference in the kind of food we eat in north india. Or should I just let this go? Because I’m here for the next 5-6 months only.

Sorry if it’s too long, this is me penning down all of my frustration and anger for this particular person.

TLDR: nosey flatmate, keeps commenting on my food choices but crossed the line by saying I eat ‘ganda khaana’ to the other flatmate and I heard it from my room.
