Are mullets now a thing with Younger Gen Z + Gen Alpha?

I was just out with my girlfriend at a local outlet mall. We were walking past a lot of teenagers and like every other boy has a silly broccoli haircut but it's now shaved on the sides so it looks like a mullet. I post over on r/malehairadvice and it seems like it's gaining traction with people under 22-24ish years old. I'm kind of surprised to see it especially because growing up this haircut was synonymous with trailer trash

Has anyone else noticed this? Lol
