How do you deal with a hospital that over-consults to the gods and has zero boundaries?

I’ve worked in enough hospitals to know that my hospital has a crazy problem with over consulting. Every little thing gets consulted. I mean, EVERYTHING. And the worst part is my program doesn’t have a back bone to say no to ridiculous consults and so we get stuck doing them. I can’t imagine having a million consults improve patient care honestly.
